Who is Health and Community Services - Central?

Health and Community Services - Central is also referred to as "Central Regional Health and Community Services Board". We provide community based health service to the population in a region extending from the eastern end of Terra Nova Park, west to Baie Verte, south to Harbour Breton and north to Fogo Island. This includes some 175 communities. Over the last three years Health and Community Services - Central has undergone dramatic changes with the integration of some service formerly under the Department of Social Services and the Gander & District Continuing Care Program. Our staff has grown to include 290 part and full-time employees with 43 offices or clinics throughout the region. Our regional office is located in Gander.
